Atlanta, GA – Driver Dies After Car Hits Highway Bridge Wall And Falls Onto Oncoming Traffic
Atlanta, Georgia (March 19, 2023) – Atlanta Police are investigating an incident in which a driver struck a wall on Buford Highway, rolled over and fell onto oncoming traffic below where they were killed.
According to the department, the fatal accident occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were dispatched to a “possible entrapment” on the northbound expressway of I-75/85 near 10th Street.
According to preliminary findings, the driver of a Kia Soul slammed into the highway’s concrete wall, flipped over the edge, and fell onto the expressway below. The driver of a Chrysler 300 on I-75 then collided with the car.
The Kia Soul’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. According to officials, the driver of the Chrysler 300 refused medical treatment.
Officials did not release any identifying information about either of the drivers involved in the collision.
