Bartow County, Georgia (June 30, 2023) – On Wednesday, Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to a single-vehicle fatality crash on I-75 northbound near mile marker 307 in Bartow County involving a tractor-trailer hauling a yellow CAT excavator.
According to the GSP investigation, the driver experienced a tire failure, causing the vehicle to leave the right shoulder of the roadway.
The vehicle drove through the guardrail, down an embankment, and collided with a billboard support pole.
The driver, who was unidentified at the time of this report, was discovered deceased on the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol said that the crash is still being investigated.
I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.
Single-Vehicle Accidents in Georgia
Single-vehicle accidents occur when only one vehicle and one driver are involved. A single-car accident usually occurs when a car collides with another object or is pushed off the road.
Even in the absence of other vehicles, a single-vehicle collision can be extremely dangerous, if not fatal.
In single-vehicle collisions, numerous legal issues arise. Even when only one vehicle is involved in an accident, determining who was at fault can be difficult.
Single-vehicle accidents can occur for any of the following reasons:
-On bad roads, drivers may struggle to maintain control of their vehicles, increasing the likelihood of an accident. Seams, potholes, and construction materials left on the ground are examples of bad road conditions. If poor road conditions played a role in your accident, the person or group in charge of the problem may face legal ramifications.
-Even if another driver’s vehicle did not directly collide with yours, they could still be held liable for the accident. Any damages or injuries you sustain may be the fault of the other driver if they were careless and caused your car to veer off the road.
-Mechanical issues can make driving a car difficult. If the car’s brakes, steering columns, tires, wipers, or airbags fail, the driver may be killed. When people’s cars fail to function properly, serious injuries can occur.
These are just a few of the many possible outcomes of a single-vehicle accident in which the driver is not to blame.
