Atlanta, GA – 2 Killed Others Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident
Atlanta, Georgia (May 6, 2023) – A multiple-vehicle crash in Atlanta Saturday afternoon killed two people and injured several others. It happened around 2 p.m. on James Jackson Pkwy NW near Browntown Rd.
Police said that the accident involved three vehicles, a Honda Accord, a Toyota Sequoia, and a Toyota Rav4.
According to officers, the Sequoia was driving north on James Jackson Parkway when it attempted to pass the Honda. The Sequoia driver lost control after colliding with the Honda’s side.
The Sequoia then crossed onto the southbound side and collided with a Rav4.
The driver and passenger of the Sequoia were ejected from the vehicle. The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but the passenger died at the scene, according to police. Three other people in the same vehicle were also taken to the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
According to APD, the driver of the Rav4 was also killed in the crash. The driver of the Honda Accord reported no injuries.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing, and police have stated that charges are likely.
