Powder Springs, GA – Man Killed in Multiple Vehicle Accident
Powder Springs, Georiga (June 30, 2023) – According to police, a multi-vehicle collision in Powder Springs resulted in the death of a man from Dallas, Georgia.
The 54-year-old man died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision on Thursday afternoon, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
Around 12:10 p.m., the collision happened at the intersection of Old Lost Mountain Road and Richard D. Sailors Parkway.
The 54-year-old was driving a gray 2015 Toyota Corolla eastbound in the left lane of Richard D. Sailors Parkway. In the right lane, driving a white 2017 Ford Mustang was a 29-year-old Hiram woman.
Meanwhile, a 2015 Brown Hyundai Elantra driven by a 26-year-old Powder Springs man was traveling west on the Richard D. Sailors Parkway.
The Hyundai attempted to make a left turn onto Old Lost Mountain Road at the intersection. It first struck the 54-year-old’s Toyota, which then struck the Ford. According to the investigators, the 54-year-old’s vehicle then struck a metal pole.
The driver of the Toyota was transported by ambulance to Wellstar Cobb Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
According to police, the Ford’s driver also suffered injuries and was taken to Wellstar Kenneston Hospital. The Hyundai’s driver was unharmed.
The accident remains under investigation.
