Cedartown, Georgia (February 15, 2023) – A 21 year old woman from Cedartown, was charged with a car accident on Tuesday that resulted in the death of a beloved Cedartown Middle School Teacher.
According to reports, the Ford Bronco being operated by the 21-year-old woman struck the vehicle of a 57-year-old Carrollton man as he was exiting the school at the intersection of Collard Valley Road and the Cedartown Bypass.
After being struck, his vehicle was sent in a spin, where he collided with a Ram 3500 truck.
Authorities added that prior to the collision, the 21 year old ran a red light.
The woman is being is charged with homicide by vehicle in the 2nd degree, failure to obey traffic control devices and driver to exercise due care.
