Clayton County, GA – Four People and a Dog Were Killed in a Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash
Clayton County, Georgia (August 8, 2023) – A 21-year-old, 18-year-old, and 12-year-old were among four people who died in the July 28th fiery crash on Interstate 285.
Three of the victim’s were siblings and their dog was also killed in the accident.
It occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Clayton County police said Friday, July 28, on Interstate 75 south in Clayton County, just before the exit to Interstate 285 eastbound.
An investigation revealed that a car carrying four people was speeding on the interstate when it collided with another vehicle. According to police, the car then flipped and collided with a tree before catching fire.
Two people were thrown from the vehicle, and two others died in the fire. Three of the victims were later identified as siblings: a 21-year-old, an 18-year-old, and a 12-year-old.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities stated that family members of the deceased have been notified. The fourth victim, a female, has not yet been identified.
Police are still investigating why the driver was speeding at the time of the accident.
