Macon, Georgia (February 27, 2023) – According to officials, a Lizella man died in a motorcycle crash Monday morning when he collided with a car on Mercer University Drive in Macon, Georgia.
When a 56-year-old man was riding his motorcycle east on Mercer University Drive near the Columbus Road split, he collided with a car in the turning lane.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 10 a.m. as the car was turning left from Arlington Park.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by deputy the coroner. His next of kin were notified.
The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.
Motorcycle Accidents in Georgia
Motorcycle accidents are among the most serious and dangerous. Many motorcycle accident victims sustain head injuries, neck injuries, broken bones, require surgery, or die in the accident.
In a regular car, seat belts, airbags, and the four walls around them protect the people inside. Vehicles also have “crumple zones” that absorb some of the impact of the accident. As a result, people in car accidents are less likely to be injured than people riding motorcycles.
The following are all potential outcomes that could occur in the event of a collision involving a motorcycle:
- Being thrown from the motorcycle.
- A direct hit to the body from the other vehicle.
- Hitting the pavement at very high speeds.
This is why a motorcycle accident is every rider’s worst nightmare. If you are involved in a motorcycle accident, you should seek legal counsel from a Macon Motorcycle Accident Attorney as soon as possible.
Your knowledgeable lawyer will help you obtain compensation for the following:
- Medical Expenses
- Lost Wages
- Emotional Distress
- Any Costs Associated with the Accident
If a person dies in a motorcycle accident and the other driver was at fault, a family member can hire a Wrongful Death Attorney to seek compensation on their behalf.
Money can never compensate for the loss of a loved one. However, it is intended to alleviate the financial stress that comes with an unexpected death.
If you or someone else was injured or killed as a result of the accident, you should contact a motorcycle accident lawyer as soon as possible if you want to be compensated for your losses.
