McIntosh County, Georgia (April 3, 2023) – According to a Georgia State Patrol Trooper, a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Georgia sent 14 people to the hospital Monday morning.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on northbound I-95 in McIntosh County.
Following the wrong-way crash, 14 people were taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
According to the State Trooper, a man driving a Subaru Crosstrek southbound in the northbound lane collided with a van carrying 12 passengers, eight of whom were children.
According to troopers, one person was flown to Memorial Hospital by emergency medical helicopter and the others by EMS.
The Subaru driver has been hospitalized and is facing multiple charges.
