Walker County, GA – Three Children Injured When Driver Rear-Ends School Bus
Walker County, GA (February 21, 2023) – According to Georgia State Patrol, a driver couldn’t stop sneezing and crashed into the back of a school bus, injuring three children on board.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, as the bus was dropping off a student in Chickamauga, Walker County, according to troopers.
Troopers said the 18-year-old driver of a Jeep Liberty began “sneezing uncontrollably” and rear-ended the stopped school bus. Multiple children on the bus saw the woman holding a cell phone at the time of the crash, according to police.
It was reported that the Jeep’s speedometer was “stuck at approximately 38 mph,”.
According to WTVC, three children “complained of injuries” and were treated by EMS at the scene before being released. One parent sad that the accident sent her daughter to the hospital emergency room.
At this time, it is unknown whether the Jeep driver will face charges. The crash is still under investigated.
